Two new apprentices are being put through their paces at Bootle Glass after beginning trainee glazer positions last month. The positions will provide real life experience on site and the opportunity to gain valuable skills for a career in a highly specialised industry.
Seventeen year old Michael Leary from Walton was successful in gaining one of the sought after positions and will now get to work closely with owner Martin Clarke and The Team on everything from multi million pound restoration projects to domestic window replacements.
Michael who left school in April is really excited to be taking on the position: “The work that is going on at various sites is interesting and challenging. I considered other training or further education but realised that this opening presented such a great opportunity. It really suits me and will hopefully lead to a long term career in the glazing industry.”
