110 plastic frames and sheets of glass were fully recycled last week when Bootle Glass completed a project in Bangor. Glass is one of the few materials that retains all of its qualities and we recycle all that we can.
PVC-u can also be recycled over 8 times and can go on to be used for many different things including underground pipes and trunking.
The refurbishment took place during the summer break in a bid to meet Bangor’s growing demand for student residence. Bangor is one of the UK’s smallest cities, and recent major investment has provided academic expansion and boost to the student accommodation numbers.
Our brief was to complete the glazing element of the upgrade to ensure that the properties are ready in time for when students return in September. The Bootle Glass team are fully experienced in working in schools and the higher-education sector on repair, refurbishment and maintenance projects. From minor fixes to multi-million pound development programmes, our contract manager plans all jobs with precise detail to avoid any disruption to classes or teaching.
